Our gym is built around providing group fitness classes in a supportive and non-judgemental environment. We have a diverse range of classes, meaning there is something for everyone!

We offer free 30 minute consultations for our members - this means one of our coaches is able to sit down with you to discuss goals, challenges and so much more. We believe this is an incredibly important part of reaching your goals - it ensures our trainers can supported and encourage you to the best of our ability.

At SHIFT we offer playgroup, a childcare service held at 9.30am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. This enables those in our community who have young ones to be able to do something for themselves - they can come along for workout and not have to worry about organising external childcare.

Body scans are an awesome metric for those who like to see the statistics relating to their body. These help us dial in on particular areas for improvement, and are a great way for us to see improvement in muscle mass increase or fat loss.

Throughout the year we provide different events for our members. These provide a platform for connection and an opportunity to meet like-minded people - as well as the enjoyment that comes with getting together and participating in fun events.
Some of the events we have had recently are; our 3rd year birthday ball, The HIIT Run club (group helping each other train for the Queenstown Marathon), beat the coach competitions, and numerous fun-themed classes where our members can come to class wearing something fun and creative.

Each year, we provide up to four challenges for our members to participate in. Challenges typically run for between 6 and 12 weeks, and are a great opportunity for people to put their health and fitness first for a designated period of time.
UPCOMING CHALLENGES
2026
THE RESET
BEGINS FEBRUARY 2026
Our first challenge for 2026! We know the Christmas period can be a bit chaotic, and sometimes we let a few too many habits hang on for longer than they should. Hence, the Reset! It’s time to find our groove and get back into the swing of things.
The focus of our training is to rebuild our strong foundations, both in the gym and also with our general routines & habits.
In addition to this, we also want to continue fostering relationships within our epic community. This challenge will be partner & team based, so grab your gym buddy (or we’ll help you find one), and get ready for the accountability and heap of extra fun that comes with team based challenges.
TRAINING & TIMETABLE:
MONDAY & THURSDAY | strength. We run two programs within each class; Functional Fit, which is free weights based (think dumbbells, bands & body weight exercises), and Rig, which is barbell based. These sessions are all about form and correct execution of movements, with the aim of optimising strength and seeing progress in the weights we are able to pick up and lift.
TUESDAY | hybrid. A mix of cardio and resistance, designed to build all round athleticism and improve overall fitness and performance. Our hybrid sessions vary in format week to week to ensure we keep the spark alive.
WEDNESDAY | cardio endurance. A class designed to push you and your engine to its limits. We’re looking to strengthen the heart and lungs, and leave you with endorphins flowing. This session isn’t designed for you to flog yourself, but to learn how to manage your energy - meaning you can maintain a challenging pace from start to finish.
FRIDAY | fried-aye. We use our Friday sessions as a fun way to round out an epic week of training - sometimes partner based, with the intention of getting you out of your comfort zone. An opportunity to train with your gym buddy, or meet someone new!
SATURDAY | send it. The perfect way to kickstart your weekend. Typically team or partner based, our Saturday sessions are always a mixed bag; chippers, EMOMs, AMRAPs, an OG session from The HIIT Studio days - it could be anything. But one thing is for sure, you’ll leave feeling ready to tackle whatever the weekend throws at you!
LEVEL UP
BEGINS JULY 2026
As the colder months approach we often witness a drop in attendance, mood, and motivation!
We know that when its cold and dark your bed feels all the more cosy, but we also know that if you make the effort to get up and out of it you definitely won’t regret your choice to workout.
Our Level Up challenge is designed to keep you moving on the days you don’t want to, ensuring you keep consistent and on the uphill trajectory to reaching your goals. By the time Summer rolls back around, you’ll be stoked you made the choice to progress rather than pause.
TRAINING:
We’ve decided to take it to a whole new level by adding a team race at the end of a ripper 6 weeks of training. This is your incentive to show up and train hard over the 6 weeks encouraging your team to stay consistent with you.
Over the 6 weeks you will see how you work as a team, learning your team's strengths and weaknesses to ensure you nail it come race day.
We will offer 3 race categories
Black - Social and fun
Polar - Semi competitive
Grizzly - Competitive
Week to week it is UP TO YOU to show up, to be consistent and to stop making excuses. You and your team will be encouraging each other to train hard, but ultimately we want to teach you self discipline and consistency. Habits once learnt, you won't want to drop.
THE FINAL SHRED
BEGINS OCTOBER 2026
As the year winds down, life usually ramps up — work, social events, family commitments, and routines that tend to slip away. That’s exactly why the Final Shred exists. This challenge is your anchor through the chaos and your kickstart into summer feeling strong, confident, and in control.
Across the challenge, you’ll build momentum, stay accountable, and find your rhythm again with the support of our community. Whether you're chasing strength, better habits, or that summer-ready energy, the Final Shred helps you finish the year feeling better than you started.
Before we know it, the final stretch of the year rolls around!
This is usually when we get a bit panicked knowing that summer is fast approaching and we’re not feeling like our health and fitness is where we’d like it to be! We want you to step into summer feeling the fittest, healthiest and most confident you’ve felt, allowing you to take on whatever summer has to throw at you.
We have created The Final Shred to do just that!
We want every customer to feel happy, healthy and most importantly we want you functioning as the best version of YOU! And a massive part of that, is feeling confident mentally and physically, which is the main focus of this challenge!
TRAINING:
This challenge will bring out the fun, hype and personal competitive streak to be better, stronger, fitter and more confident than ever before.
The most important part of training and leading a healthy lifestyle is making sure it fits into YOUR life!
We want to teach you that that looks different for everyone, as we all lead different lives and have different commitments week to week!
It’s our job to teach you the right tools to make it work for YOU.
We will delve into your mindset toward training, work on creating a balanced lifestyle between work, friends, family and training and learn to adapt a balanced diet to enjoy your summer without restrictions or guilt.
